Odisha: KJS Ahluwalia Increase Iron Ore Lump Prices Up To INR 300/MT

Odisha based two major merchant miners namely KJS Ahluwalia and Kaypee Enterprises have today raised iron ore lump prices up to INR 300/MT (USD 5/MT). However fines prices continue to remain unaltered.

Lump (5-18 mm ) prices have moved up by INR 300/MT and that of 10-30 mm are up by INR 250/MT.

KJS Ahluwalia (Nuagaon mines) has EC limit of 5.62 MnT pa and Kaypee Enterprises has EC limit of 5.5 MnT pa.

Recently iron ore dispatches from both the mines have resumed after a span of nearly two weeks. Dispatches were suspended temporarily owing to stock verification issues.

Iron ore prices in Odisha have increased amid sharp hike in sponge iron prices. Sponge iron prices in eastern India have moved by up to INR 1,000/MT W-o-W. While in last one month, C-DRI prices in eastern India have strengthened up to INR 2,400/MT.

Trade sources shared that other Odisha based merchant miners are likely to follow the suit and raise iron ore prices in the next week.
