Billet manufacturers in Chhattisgarh hold offers citing high power tariff 

South East region: Billet prices in Mandi’s like Raipur, Raigarh and Bhilai have increased by around 20% from Rs 2.80/Unit to Rs 3.75/Unit w.e.f 5th of May 12 on power price rise in Chhattisgarh.

The cost of Billet making goes up by Rs 1,000/MT now. Trading volumes are decent with Raipur being quoted at Rs 34,000/MT (Basic price; payment next day) ,Raigarh at Rs 33,500/MT (Basic price; payment next day) and Bhilai at Rs 33,800/MT (Basic price; payment next day)  .

Jaipur: Billet is being offered at Rs 35,600-700/MT (Basic price, regular payment condition) today from yesterdays trade at Rs 35,600-700/MT (Basic price, regular payment condition) .                        

Kolkata, Durgapur, Mumbai, Kandla and Bhavnagar trading prices remain unchanged. Demand has not improved on low trading volumes in finished steel market.Prices are not anticipated to show further correction.

Mandis like Jalna, Goa and Chennai are closed as it is (1st of May) Labour day today.
