As per Russian customs data, the flat steel which includes (7208 – HR coils/Plates,7209 – CR coils, 7210, 7212 GP/GC and 7225 electrical sheets) have rose considerably by 8.4 % to 9.25 MnT in 2016 in contrast to 8.53 MnT in 2015.
If M-o-M comparison is made, then nation’s flat steel exports shoot up remarkably by 41% to 0.99 MnT in Dec’16 against Nov’16.In Nov’16 the same stood at 0.70 MnT.
On yearly basis, Russia Flat steel exports surged by 11% in Dec’16 against Dec’15.In Dec’15 country’s flat steel exports stood at 0.81 MnT.
Grade-wise Russia Flat Steel Exports:
If grade-wise analysis is made, then 7208 exports have shown significant increase of 33.4% in Dec’16 against Nov’16 whereas 7209 and 7225 surged in Dec’16 against previous month. Although, other grades exports like 7212 and 7210 declined in Dec’16 as compared to Nov’16’.

Country-wise Russia Flat Steel Exports :
Turkey was the major importer of flat steel from Russia and has imported 2,74,313 MT in Dec’16 against 2,49,487 MT in Nov’16.Other major countries include Iran, Latvia followed by Poland and Belarus.
