Demand in finished steel market has not yet improved.
Raipur TMT prices come down by Rs 200/MT and trade at Rs 37,300/MT (Basic price). According to a trader, prices are anticipated to rise if demand for Re-bar comes from South which is facing power issues from sometime.
Goa market witnessed major correction of Rs 1,000/MT on account of handful of buyers. It is quoted at Rs 39,000/MT (Basic price).
Re-bar in Hyderabad is offered at Rs 37,300/MT (Basic price), down by Rs 200/MT due to the continuing ban on sand mining which has kept construction activities on hold.
Some improved demand will account for a rise in price, said sources.
