India’s steel and stainless steel imports declined marginally to 4.84 mnt in H1FY’27 from 4.91 mnt a year earlier, according to data. The country mix changed more sharply than the overall total, with imports from China rising 61% to 1.42 mnt from 0.88 mnt.
