South African Chrome Ore exports have witnessed a rise of 6.54% Y-o-Y.
South Africa, the largest producer as well as importer of Chrome Ore in the world, has exported 9.6 MnT in 2016, as per South African Trade Customs. In 2015, the said country had exported 9.04 MnT of Chrome Ore.
South African Chrome Ore exports at 0.95 MnT in Dec’16 have witnessed a substantial downfall of 13.5% M-o-M. In Nov’16 exports were recorded at 1.10 MnT. In similar lines, the export volume also surged by 58.81% against the same month of the previous year, at 0.60 MnT.
China’s Chrome Ore import from South Africa at 5.94 MnT in 2016
China remains the largest consumer of South African Chrome Ore. In 2016, China imported 5.94 MnT Chrome Ore against 5.80 MnT in 2015.
In Dec’16, the country imported 0.60 MnT Chrome Ore against 0.76 MnT in Nov’16. In Dec’15, the country has imported 0.39 MnT Chrome Ore.
China imports most of its Chrome Ore ore requirement from South Africa and Turkey.
