MMTC Cancels 30,000 MT Pig Iron Export Tender; Issues Fresh Tender

India’s largest trading house, MMTC has recently held an export tender for 30,000 MT Pig iron which closed on 25 Jan’17. The company has cancelled the tender according to sources.

MMTC floated this tender on 11 Jan’17 with scheduled delivery of the shipment between 06-16 Feb’17. However, the company has not disclosed the reason behind cancellation.

The company has re-issued the tender for minimum 15,000 MT and maximum 30,000 MT Pig iron with scheduled technical bids to open on 10 Feb’17.

Quantity: Minimum- 15,000 MT; Maximum-30,000 MT
Loading port: Paradip Port, India
Shipment period: During 01 Mar-10 Mar’17
Delivery basis: FOBST Paradip Port
Destination: Any country other than banned countries

MMTC’s last export tender for 30,000 MT Pig iron got expired on 15 Dec’16. The company concluded the tender at USD 291.5/MT, FoB India and the cargo is shipped to Thailand according to sources.

Another export tender for 20,000 MT Pig iron by Vizag Steel recently got concluded at USD 298/MT, FoB Vizag Port.
