India: Ramco Cements expands capacity in Andhra Pradesh

Ramco Cements has completed structural de-bottlenecking at its Jayanthipuram works in Andhra Pradesh, increasing clinker capacity from 4.61 mnt/year to 5.62 mnt/year and cement grinding capacity from 3.65 mnt/year to 4.38 mnt/year. The low-capex expansion enhances upstream-downstream integration, enables localisation of grinding operations, strengthens supply capabilities and reduces inter-plant clinker movement and associated logistics costs. The company’s total capacity stands at 16.95 mnt/year clinker and 27.17 mnt/year cement grinding.
