Structure prices across major markets in India have declined by INR 200-900/MT for all grades. The major factor for price correction is persistent decline in Ingot/Billet prices in domestic market.
Light and heavy structure prices in West Indian market like Ahmedabad have sharply fallen by INR 900/MT as billet prices in the state declined by INR 1,100/MT W-o-W.
Other structure markets such as Durgapur and Mumbai fell by INR 250/MT and INR 200/MT respectively in a week’s time.
Demand remain slow which kept structure price negative also, billet prices too fell sharply by INR 200-1,100/MT and hovering in the range of INR 23,350-27,600/MT.
Currently, 40×40 mm angle prices are evaluated in Durgapur at INR 29,500/MT, Ahmedabad at INR 29,100/MT, Mumbai at INR 30,400/MT, Raipur at INR 27,200/MT and in Hyderabad at INR 30,000/MT.
At the same time, 200×75 mm channel is being offered in Durgapur at INR 29,000/MT, Ghaziabad at INR 32,700/MT, Ahmedabad at INR 29,800/MT, Mumbai at INR 31,100/MT and in Raipur at INR 28,300/MT.
Intervening, heavy beam 200×100 mm prices are assessed in Durgapur at INR 29,000/MT, Ghaziabad at INR 32,200/MT, Ahmedabad at INR 29,600/MT, Mumbai at INR 31,700/MT and Raipur at INR 27,800/MT.
