Indian rebar market has seen no major price movement during the last one week.
Major Price decrease is recorded in Durgapur by INR 300/MT followed by Raipur and Ahmadabad by INR 100/MT in the same duration.
At present, rebar price offers for 12 mm material are at INR 27,600/MT (basic price, excise duty, VAT/CST extra) ex-Raipur , INR 29,500/MT ex- Hyderabad, INR 30,600/MT ex-Mumbai and INR 27,200/MT ex-Durgapur.
As per market participants, no major trade took place owing to weak demand from the stockist/ end-users. It seems the market will remain stable in the current week.
A well known rebar manufacturer based in Raipur stated,” a very limited trade is taking place currently and we expect that the prices may remain steady in the coming week”.
