The 7th largest iron ore exporter The Netherlands has exported 1622902 MT iron ore in Oct’16 as per trade statistics released by The Netherlands Customs.
Iron ore exports have registered a decrease of 3% M-o-M as exports were around 1622902 MT in Oct’16. Similarly country’s iron ore exports have decreased 11% Y-o-Y basis for the same month in 2015.
In the first ten months of 2016, the country exported 18176384 MT iron ore, down by 7% as the exports were 19600138 MT in the same consecutive period last year.
In Oct’16, the agglomerated iron ore (pellets and concentrate) exports were registered at 458565 MT up 22%, reasonably higher compared to Sep’16 which was at 376262 MT. Exports were down by 26% compared with the month of Oct last year as it was 623688 MT in 2015.
The non-agglomerated iron ore (lumps & fines) exports were registered at 1164337 MT in Oct’16, down by 3% M-o-M as it was 1304300 MT in Sep’16. Compared with Nov’15 non-agglomerated iron ore exports of 1194112 MT, this year it stood marginally down by 2%.
