According to preliminary customs data, Japan’s crude steel output declined by 5% M-o-M basis, that is 8.6 MnT in Nov’16 compared to 9.05 MnT in Oct’16.
On yearly basis country’s crude steel production slumped by 1.6% in Nov’16 against last year. In Nov’15 the crude steel output was assessed at 8.74 MnT.
In CY16 from Jan-Nov, Japan’s crude steel output stands at 95.8 MnT, down by 1.1% against 96.9 MnT in corresponding time frame of previous year.
Flat Products Output in Nov’16
Japan’s HRC production moved down by 3% M-o-M basis to 3.6 MnT in Nov’16 whereas its CRC output continues to remain stable at 1.5 MnT.
Meanwhile plates output in Nov’16 reported a sharp decline by 11% to 0.8 MnT in Nov ‘16 as compared to 0.9 MnT in Sep’16.
