In line with high iron ore lumps prices, pellet manufacturers were reluctant to cut their offers. But now looking at falling sponge prices and low buying interest , pellet prices have come down by Rs 200-300/t.
” Prices have been cut by Rs 200-300/t by primary pellet manufacturers in India. Currently 63% Fe is offered around Rs 9,300-9,500/t (Loaded to Wagons) at Odisha. Where as a pellet prices at Tatanagar is hovering around Rs 9,300/t.”
A big manufacturer, based in Keonhar offering 63% Fe pellets at Rs 9,500/t, where as Jharsugda is being offered at Rs Rs 9,300/t (All Basic Prices).
It is also reported that Bhushan Steel based in Odisha have imported pellets from Brazil.Though prices are not confirmed, but if sources are to be believed, it has been imported at $178 for 63% Fe.
