Indian wire rod producers based in Raipur and Durgapur has decreased offers by INR 300-500/MT W-o-W owing to slight fall in billet offers coupled with weak demand.
Currently in Durgapur, 5.5 mm wire rod and HB 12G are available at INR 28,300/MT and 30,300/MT respectively. Plants in Raipur are offering the same grade material at INR 28,700/MT and 30,700/MT respectively. These prices are basic.
A well known wire rod manufacture based in Raipur reported that there are lot of enquires coming from North India but no major deal took place.
As per SteelMint sources, almost all wire rod and HB manufacturers in Raipur were offering discount of about INR 1,000/MT during the same period.
Offers for 12G GI and 12G barbed wires are assessed at INR 36,000/MT and INR 38,000/MT in Raipur. Prices are basic.
A well know GI manufacturer reported that, “Due to slump in demand, there is no major orders getting especially from the outstation market”.
