Vizag Steel, an Indian state owned steelmaker had issued an export tender for 10,000 MT wire rod coils to any country other than banned countries. The tender was due on 4 Jan’17 and bid opened on same day.
Company received bid around 440-445/MT (H1) FOB vizag port, which is lower than expected. As per the sources, company has decided to cancel this tender.
Company had already extended this tender multiple times and did modifications in the technical requirements but still fail to get the offer as expected.
Chinese Wire Rod Prices
Chinese wire rod export offers stood at USD 425-430/MT decreased by USD 20/MT in a week’s time after continuous increase in price.
