Ferro Silicon prices are likely to move upwards very soon. Ferro Silicon (grade70-75) is being offered at around INR 64,500/MT (Ex-Bhutan) and INR 62,500/MT (Ex-Guwahati).
Demand for Ferro Silicon is moderate in India. Currently, there is a balance in demand and supply of Ferro Silicon, creating stability in its price.
SteelMint assessed that the demand for Ferro Silicon is expected to improve in near future resulting in rise of Ferro Silicon Prices. A source at one of the major Ferro Silicon producers in Bhutan revealed that they have concluded deals with European companies’ post holidays.
Bhutanese producers have increased their offer in consideration to rise in freight rate. Export offers are in the range of USD 1040-1050/MT FOB Kolkata. This decision was also somewhat supported by high Malaysian offers.
