BigMint’s billet index declined by INR 300/t d-o-d to INR 39,600/t exw-Raipur. The PDRI-to-billet conversion spread for standalone induction furnaces in Raipur narrowed to INR 12,100/t.
Domestic sponge iron prices declined by around INR 50-250/t across regions today, amid lower buyer participation and limited market activity due to a festive holiday. BigMint recored sponge iron trade volume at around 6,000 t.
BigMint’s domestic end-cutting scrap index, tracking the Mandi Gobindgarh market, remained stable d-o-d at INR 40,700/tonne (t) DAP.
