India’s cement production declined 5.8% m-o-m to 42.3 mnt in July 2026 from 44.9 mnt in June, according to the Index of Eight Core Industries released by the Office of the Economic Adviser. The decline was primarily due to monsoon-related disruptions to construction activity, transportation and labour availability, which slowed cement consumption and dispatches. However, output increased 13.1% y-o-y from 37.4 mnt in July 2025.
