USA, the world’s largest Pig iron importer has imported 179,510 MT Pig iron in Nov’16 according to trade statistics released by USA customs.
USA Pig iron imports have registered a growth of 1% M-o-M in Nov’16 against 177,120 MT in Oct’16. On contrary, imports were down by 33% Y-o-Y against 268,190 MT in Nov’15.
In the first 11 months of 2016, the country’s imports were registered at 3.62 MnT, down by 15% as compared to 4.26 MnT in the same time period prior this year.
Country’s imports majority of Pig iron from Russia, Ukraine, Brazil etc. In Nov’16, imports from Russia was registered at 118,020 MT, from Ukraine it was 44,180 MT. Imports from Brazil remained nil.
