Tata steel, attributed as one of the ‘steel leader’ in steel sector has today announced its quarterly results.The company has achieved best ever hot metal production in Q3 FY17 against previous best of 2.69 MnT in Q3FY16.
If Q-o-Q comparison is done,then company’s hot metal output moved up 10% in Q3FY17 against previous quarter.In Q2FY17 the same stood at 3.1 MnT.
Although,Tata crude steel output on Q-o-Q basis,moved up by 11% to 3.1 MnT as compared to 2.8 MnT in previous quarter. On Y-o-Y basis company’s crude steel output jumped 24% in Q3FY17 against 2.5 MnT in Q3FY16.
Company’s saleable steel output has jumped 15% to 3.1 MnT in Q3 FY17 against 2.7 MnT in previous quarter.Whereas on yearly basis the company has showed the growth of 24% against 2.5 MnT in Q3FY16.
Tata Steel’s Q3 FY17 key highlights
Beside this company’s Pellet production has achieved best ever Q3FY17 production of 1.64 Mnt against 1.42 MnT in Q3FY16.While production at Hot strip mill recorded the growth of 1.07 MnT in contrast to 1.01 in previous year and output of cold rolled mill also surged to 0.48 MnT against 0.45 MnT in last year.
