SECL will conduct its Single Window Mode Agnostic e-auction on 22 August, offering 767,500 t.
ECL offers 887,500 t across seven grades
ECL’s catalogue is heavily concentrated in G13, G11 and G12 coal. G13 accounts for 500,000 t from Rajmahal OC, while G11 totals 200,000 t from Rajmahal OC and Hura C OC. G12 adds 100,000 t from Hura C OC.

Higher-grade coal remains comparatively limited. G3 accounts for 35,000 t, G4 for 37,500 t and G6 for 5,000 t. W04 washery coal adds 10,000 t. The notified prices range from INR 1,716/t for G13 to INR 3,719/t for G3.
SECL schedules 767,500 t for 22 August
SECL has announced an additional 767,500 t of non-coking coal through its Single Window Mode Agnostic e-auction policy. The auction is scheduled for 22 August 2026.
The offering covers a wide range of grades, including G5, G6, G7, G8, G10, G11, G12, G13 and G14. Major offerings include 304,000 t from Dipka OC under G11, 67,000 t under the Jhilmili cluster represented by G8 and 55,000 t under Pandavapara represented by G7.
Domestic availability remains substantial
The two auction catalogues provide buyers with sizeable domestic sourcing options across grades and transport modes. ECL’s offering is particularly concentrated in G13, G11 and G12, while SECL’s catalogue has a broader grade mix.
The availability of both road and rail options at several loading points provides flexibility to buyers, although actual participation is likely to depend on prevailing industrial demand and the competitiveness of auction coal against alternative domestic sources.
