- DR CLO premium rises to INR 1,000/t over base price
- Bacheli fines remain unsold, Kirandul FOR fines booked
NMDC sold 40,400 t of iron ore in its Chhattisgarh auction held on 30 July, as buying interest remained concentrated in higher-grade lump ore, while demand for fines continued to be selective.
At Bacheli, the entire 6,000 t of Baila lumps (10-20 mm, Fe 65.5%) was booked at INR 5,700/t (FOR) against a base price of INR 5,600/t, reflecting a premium of INR 100/t. Meanwhile, the entire 12,900 t of DR CLO (10-40 mm, Fe 67%) was sold at INR 6,900/t (FOR) against a base price of INR 5,900/t, fetching a premium of INR 1,000/t, up from INR 330/t in the previous auction held on 23 July. However, the entire 82,500 t of fines offered at Bacheli remained unsold.
At Kirandul, 21,500 t of fines (FOR) was booked at the base price of INR 4,740/t, while 22,000 t of FOT fines remained unsold.
