India Mill Scale export fell by 30%(Y-o-Y) to 239,810 MT in CY2016 against 344,500 MT. This year total 8 bulk vessel arrived at India’s port against 10 bulk vessel in 2015.
Mill Scale export this year affected by falling Iron ore price in International market, Iron ore price for FE 62 grade touch the lowest mark of USD 38 CNF China on 15th Jan. With increase in iron ore prices Mill Scale export got the momentum in last three month.
China (100,250) is the largest importer of Mill Scale from India followed by Philippines (87,060). In 2016 China import fell by 64% Y-o-Y, from 279,200 MT in 2015 to 100,250 MT in 2016.
December Mill Scale Export
In December India exported 52,500 MT Mill scale against 9,250 MT in Nov’16.
8th bulk vessel of 28,500 MT Mill scale is reported at Kandla port. “MV Cherry point” is expected to get berthing on 24 Dec’16
According to data maintained by SteelMint, this is 2nd Mill Scale export vessel in Dec’16, last vessel discharged on 4 Dec’16 carried 24,000 MT cargo to China.
