India: Domestic Pellet Offers Move Up In Line With Rising P-DRI Prices

Domestic P-DRI prices in India have gained strength in last one week. P-DRI prices in eastern India have moved upto INR 800//MT, by INR 1,300/MT in central India and by INR 700/MT in southern India since last week.

Following increase in P-DRI prices, domestic pellet offers across many regions in India have also gained strength. In Week 51, pellet prices have increased upto INR 400/MT compared to last week’s assessment.

“Pellet sponge prices in Raipur have increased by INR 1,300/MT W-o-W and are presently seen at INR 14,000-14,100/MT (ex-plant). On the back drop of rising pellet sponge prices, Raipur based pellet manufacturers have also raised offers to INR 4,500-4,600/MT. If price surge in P-DRI sustains, Raipur pellet offers may go higher by INR 200/MT”, shared a Raipur based pellet maker.
