Birla Corporation Limited has commenced commercial coal production at its Bikram Coal Mine in Shahdol district, Madhya Pradesh, effective 22 Jun’26. The mine, which began coal extraction operations in Apr’26, is expected to strengthen the company’s fuel security and improve operational efficiency by supporting captive coal requirements for its cement manufacturing operations.
