Domestic Coal at the SECL e-auction held in May fetched more or less the same bids but the rise in prices was the effect of the change in Royalty for Coal that has been hiked to 14% in May
Prices including taxes for Gevra mines having the GCV of 4000-4300 moved upto Rs 2,700/MT, i.e up by Rs 250/MT from the previous e-auctions.
Prices (including taxes) for other mines which were e-auctioned were-
Rs 2,500/MT for G 11 grade of Laxmax OC stock, Rs 2900/MT for E grade of Dipka Expn, and Rs 2400 for Chhal F grade.
According to market players, “Prices moved up as an effect of the rise in Royalty to14% from the earlier 10%”.
