BigMint’s bi-weekly domestic pellet (Fe 63%) index for Raipur, increased by INR 200/t to INR 9,600/t ($101/t) DAP. Around 55,000 t of pellet deals were concluded in Raipur at INR 9,100-9,650/t DAP by local and Odisha based pellet producers.
Sponge iron prices largely remained stable or declined by INR 100-200/t across most regions. Trade volume recorded at around 20,000 t.
BigMint’s daily billet index registered a marginal correction of INR 50/t d-o-d, settling at INR 38,650/t exw-Raipur. The conversion spread from sponge iron (PDRI) to billets for standalone induction furnaces in Raipur was assessed at INR 14,450/t.
