India’s leading automaker cuts Jun’26 ADC12 settlements after 5-month rally

  • June ADC12 settlements decline after negotiations
  • Domestic ADC12 prices remain regionally firm

India’s leading automaker reduced ADC12 settlement prices by INR 2,000/t for June 2026, marking the first correction after consistent price increases since the beginning of 2026. Supplier offers for June remained steady at INR 365,000/t, while the automaker finalized settlements at INR 363,000/t following aggressive negotiations with suppliers.

Despite the settlement cut, domestic ADC12 prices continued to remain firm across key regions amid tight scrap availability. Current market prices were heard at INR 367,000-369,000/t in Delhi, INR 364,000-366,000/t in Pune, and INR 370,000-375,000/t in Chennai for 30-day payment terms. Other OEMs across India are yet to finalize their June 2026 settlement levels.

Meanwhile, aluminium tense scrap prices also remained elevated, with Delhi prices at INR 304,000/t and Chennai at INR 311,500/t. Market participants attributed the firmness to acute scrap shortages in the domestic market and limited imported material arrivals.
