Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang rose by INR 500/t d-o-d on 26 May’26. HMS (80:20) prices were assessed at INR 34,700/t ($364/t) exy. The regional market witnessed active trading, supported by a INR 300-500/t rise in semi-finished and finished steel prices in the previous trading session. Additionally, active buying inquiries for scrap prompted suppliers to raise their offers today.
