In Raipur, manufacturers are not willing to make any correction in prices at current levels.
1. Manufacturers hold offers on
volatile market. Buyers prefer to take material from Raigarh, which has quoted its
price cheaper by Rs 200-300/MT.
2. In Rourkela and
Mumbai, Billet prices remain steady at Rs 31,600-700/MT and Rs 34,000/MT (Basic price).
3. High power cost and low
availability of scrap remain as problems for Billet manufacturers in North India.
4. Markets in South might witness correction in Billet
offers as monsoon hits South Indian coast.
