Ferrous Scrap Import at Kandla and Mundra Port in Oct’16

India imported about 291,000 MT of ferrous scrap in Oct’16 were increase by 7% M-O-M. Two of the major western ports viz. Kandla and Mundra ports were among the top five scrap importing ports in India.

Total scrap import at Kandla Port in Oct’16 down by 73% and recorded at about 4,764 MT. While, import at Mundra port up by 68% and assessed at 14,950 MT on a monthly basis.

Meanwhile, the total ferrous scrap import to India from Jan’16 to Oct’16 has recorded 4.58 MnT.
