Ship-breaking melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market inched up by INR 300/t d-o-d on 18 May’26, as per BigMint’s assessment. HMS (80:20) prices stood at INR 35,300/t ($367/t) exy. Trade activities in semi-finished and finished steel improved in the late hours of the previous trading session in the region. Additionally, decent buying inquiries for scrap prompted suppliers to increase their offers today.
