The Maharashtra GENCO sign MoU with Singareni Collieries Company (SCCL) yesterday to supply coal for upcoming power plants.
Mahagenco has entered into a MoU with SCCL to supply of 10 MnT of coal for their new thermal power projects. On 25 Nov’16 the agreement was signed in the presence of N Srinivas, Executive Director (Coal Movement) by representatives of both the organizations.
The Maharastra GENCO has been already a customer of SCCL as having a MoU for supply of 2.26 MnT of coal for Parli thermal power plant.
SCCL has inked an agreement for supply of 10 MnT of coal to meet the requirements of Mahagenco’s new power projects at Parli 250 MW plant and Korade 8,9,10 units (each 660 MW capacity).
It is also discussed with SCCL to supply of 1 MnT more coal during FY17 for Chandrapur, Kaparkhada and Nasik power plants too.
The Maharashtra power company has linkages with CIL – WCL (Maharashtra), SECL (Chhattisgarh) and drawing coal for their power plants. Now, SCCL has been approached for 1 MnT coal during the current financial.
