Billet offers in Maharashtra, Rajasthan & Gujarat (West India) increase by INR 200-500/MT, D-o-D. Improved demand and short supply have strengthen billet prices in the region. Central India have concluded few deals for billet to Maharashtra & Rajasthan on widened price gap in the product.
Current offers for 100*100 mm billet in Central & Western India are – at INR 21,200/MT ex-Raipur, INR 23,700/MT ex-Mumbai, INR 23,400-23,500/MT ex-Ahmedabad & INR 24,100/MT ex-Jaipur.
Higher billet prices in West India has encouraged more billet supply from Central India. Thus, Raipur based manufacturers have concluded few deals to Maharashtra & Rajasthan at around INR 21,100/MT ex-plant; freight charges to western India are in the range of INR 1,500-2,200/MT.
Moreover looking to price movement in rest parts of India i.e East & North regions, prices almost remain firm with slight change of INR 200/MT, D-o-D & W-o-W.
