SAIL Bhilai’s crude coal tar auction on 23 April 2026 cleared the entire 2,197 tonnes at a weighted average price of INR 52,500/t, marking a sharp decline of INR 8,164/t from the previous auction on 24 March 2026 where complete 1,997 t was booked at INR 60,664. The price correction reflects softer downstream demand, easing feedstock constraints, and improved material availability in the market.
