India: Over 50,000 t of iron ore booked in Karnataka auctions

Karnataka’s iron ore auctions on 23 Apr’26 saw over 50,000 t sold.

• SMIORE: 11,000-t lumps (5-20 mm, Fe 55.4-60.7%) and 37,300-t lumps (10-40 mm, Fe 52.3-57.3%) at INR 3,790-5,887/t and INR 2,567-4,546/t, respectively.
• U Krishna Prasad: 4,000-t lumps (10-40 mm, Fe 56.74%) at base price of INR 4,220/t.

U Krishna Prasad and SMIORE’s prices include royalty, DMF, and NMET.
