In Q3FY26, South32 reported a sharp q-o-q decline in manganese ore production to 1.089 mnt (wet basis), mainly due to Australian output falling to 0.589 mnt, down by 27%, while South African volumes dipped 1% to 0.5 mnt. Australia FY’26 guidance was cut 6% amid water management challenges from heavy rainfall and tropical cyclone Narelle impacts, whereas South African guidance remains unchanged.
Note: South32’s financial year runs from July to June.
