Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) is the India’s largest steelmaker and produces a variety of steel and iron products, invited a tender for appointment of a conversion agent from bonafide, resourceful firm/company for conversion of HRC to Hot Rolled Pickled & Oiled (HRPO) at Ludhiana.
The tender will be kept valid for 90 days from the date of techno-commercial opening.
As per the conditions, Conversion Agent (CA) should have separate facility for picking and oiling. Finished steel materials will have to be supplied with tolerance as per respective BIS specification or as per specific Technical Delivery Condition (TDC).
Eligible bidders should have the following facilities:
1. Handling equipment including EOT cranes for safe handling of HRC up to 32 MT.
2. De-coiling and recoiling facilities to handle up to 32 MT HRC in thickness 1.5 mm to 6 mm and in width 910 mm to 1900 mm in ID range 760-850 mm and OD range 29 1700 – 2400 mm.
3. Pickling and oiling facility to handle coils up to 1900 mm width.
4. The Conversion Agent shall be required to own suitable computers and also make arrangement for internet connectivity for availing connectivity to SAIL’s SAP System.
