South Korean Pig Iron Import Down by 67% in Oct’16

South Korea, the world’s fourth largest Pig iron importer has imported 0.01 MnT Pig iron in Oct’16 according to trade statistics released by South Korean customs.

Country’s Pig iron imports dropped down by 67% on M-o-M basis . On Y-o-Y basis, Pig iron imports dropped down by 75% in Oct’16 as compared to 0.04 MnT in Oct’15.

In the first 10 months of 2016, the country’s imports were registered at 0.30 MnT, down by 19% as compared to 0.37 MnT in the same time period prior this year.

The country imports majority of Pig iron from Russia, China, Indonesia etc. In Oct’16, imports from Russia was registered at 0.01 MnT.
