India Sponge iron
price were high and firm during the week owing to iron ore shortage.
Bellary: Due to non availability of Iron ore and
Pellets, price gained by Rs 700/MT.
Odisha: Demand from North India increased
offers by Rs 300/MT.
Raipur: On low cost
Sponge Iron available from Odisha, price slipped by Rs 200/MT.
In Raigarh,
offers were low as in the earlier week. Jindal Steel was supplying iron ore to
local Sponge Iron plants and in turn purchasing sponge iron from them. But
later this week, Jindal Steel stopped supply of iron ore and purchase of sponge
iron.
