India: Medium-carbon silico manganese prices climb up on elevated input costs, higher power tariffs

Domestic medium-carbon silico manganese (Mn 53%, Si 20%, C max 0.5%) prices rose by INR 3,100/t ($33/t) w-o-w to INR 94,500/t ($1,020/t) ex-works Durgapur on 9 Apr’26. The absence of low-cost raw materials, coupled with elevated production expenses and increased DVC electricity tariffs, drove up prices.
