USA, the world’s largest Pig iron importer has imported 0.42 MnT Pig iron in Sept’16 according to trade statistics released by USA customs.
USA Pig iron imports have registered a downfall of 44% M-o-M in Sept’16 against 0.75 MnT in Aug’16. On similar lines, imports were down by 14% Y-o-Y against 0.49 MnT in Sept’15.
In the first nine months of 2016, the country’s imports were registered at 3.26 MnT, down by 2% as compared to 3.33 MnT in the same time period prior this year.
Country’s imports majority of Pig iron from Russia, Ukraine, Brazil etc. In Sept’16, imports from Russia was registered at 0.21 MnT, from Ukraine it was 0.05 MnT and from Brazil imports were registered at 0.15 MnT.
