Tata Steel Yesterday reported its second quarter results of FY’17 and its domestic operational performance has showed positive during the same period.
Indian performance highlights
1. The company’s sales volume increased by 12% to 2.62 MnT in Q2 FY17 against Q2 FY16. On the similar lines, on Q-o-Q basis growth rate was 22%.
2. Its branded sales increased by 9% Y-o-Y and 15% Q-o-Q primarily due to higher sales in top three brands- Tiscon, Astrium & Steelium.
3. Its automotive sales has impacted due to hot strip and cold rolling mills shutdown during the quarter.
4 Its long product sales and realisation impacted during the quarter owing to seasonal slowdown and liquidity crunch in the construction industry.
Tata Steel Group performance highlights
Tata Steel Group sales volume marginally increased by 4% on Q-o-Q basis to 5.65 MnT in Q2 FY17 while on Y-o-Y basis it is down by 3%.
