Trade statistics released by the European Union shows that Netherlands iron ore imports drop down by 8% in Aug’16 as compared to Jul’16.
In Aug’16, the country imported 241 MnT iron ore as compared to 2.61 MnT in Jul’16. However, on Y-o-Y basis, iron ore imports drop down by 22% as compared to 3.08 MnT in Aug’15.
In the first eight months of 2016, the country imported 20.64 MnT iron ore, down by 8.7% as it was 22.62 MnT in the same period last year.
The non-agglomerated iron ore (lumps and fines) imports in Aug’16 was registered at 1.88 MnT, decreased by 4% over the previous month as it was 1.95 MnT in Jul’16. The country imported 2.31 MnT non-agglomerated ore in Aug’15.
The agglomerated iron ore (pellets and concentrates) imports in Aug’16 was registered at 0.53 MnT against 0.65 MnT in Jul’16. However, on Y-o-Y basis, the country’s agglomerated imports dropped down by 31% as it was 0.77 MnT in Aug’15.
