Directorate of Mines & Geology (DMG), Government of Goa is likely to conduct 18th iron ore e-auction soon. DMG has notified the tentative lots that will be put under hammer from 18th e-auction onwards.
DMG is still left with 6.21 MnT iron ore which is yet to be sold. Out of this, 4.6 MnT is ROM, 1.13 MnT is fines and remaining quantity of 0.47 MnT is lump. Grade of the material ranges from Fe 18.6-65.6%.

Last month witnessed two iron ore e-auctions in the state of Goa which were conducted on 04 & 10 Oct’16. 3.7 MnT iron ore was offered combiningly via two auctions out of which 35% (1.29 MnT) was sold.
So far Goa DMG has managed to sell only 10 MnT iron ore since e-auction procedure started in the state.
