Coal India Limited (CIL) had allocated 24.9 MnT of coal under spot E-auction during the first six months of the current fiscal. Compared to the same period of the last fiscal, the quantity is down by around 8%.
Interestingly, the decline had occurred despite the Government of India was trying to secure adequate coal availability for all sections of consumers, including power.
During the Apr-Sep’16 period, CIL had allocated 27 MnT of coal.
In a similar trend, CIL had allocated 4.068 MnT of coal under spot E-auction in Sep’16 against 4.282 MnT in Sep’15.
