SAIL-Bhilai auctioned 1,009 t of crude coal tar on 12 Mar’26 at an average of INR 48,000-50,000/t, a rise of INR 13,000-15,000/t compared to previous auction on 28 Feb’26 in which 15,009 t was sold at INR 35,000/t. Active buying from the single largest buyer boosted prices, which may rise further in March, though a cooling trend is expected after the next one or two auctions.
