BigMint’s billet index in Raipur increased by INR 450/t day-on-day (d-o-d) to settle at INR 42,400/t ex-works. The conversion spread from pellet-based sponge iron (PDRI) to billets for standalone induction furnaces in the Raipur cluster was assessed at around INR 14,300/t.
India’s sponge iron (DRI) prices increased by INR 100-500/t across regions. Trade volumes estimated around 20,700 t.
BigMint’s domestic end-cutting scrap index, tracking the Mandi Gobindgarh market, increased by INR 400/tonne (t) d-o-d to INR 38,000/t DAP.
