China: Iron ore spot prices rise $0.5/dmt d-o-d

Iron ore fines (Fe 61%) spot prices edged up by $0.3/dmt to $99.75/dmt d-o-d CFR China on 27 Feb supported by selective trading activity and favourable import margins, which helped sustain premiums and discount levels for mainstream brands. Demand for seaborne fines remained steady as steel mills resumed normal production. Rising fines prices and a catch-up in other brands continued to support premiums for seaborne cargoes.
