Yieh United Steel Corp. (Yusco), Taiwan’s leading stainless steel producer, announced its fourth consecutive monthly price hike on 25 February, citing elevated production costs. For March deliveries, 304 series prices and 316L surcharges were raised by TWD 2,000/t, while 430 series prices increased by TWD 1,000/t. The adjustment reflects higher input costs, particularly firm LME nickel and nickel pig iron prices following Indonesia’s ore mining restrictions.
